Although your dream as a child was probably not to grow up and become involved with a man that was already married to someone else, it happens. Whatever your reasons are for dating a married man, sooner or later the issue has to be resolved. In some cases, the resolution is an ending of the affair and the man staying with his wife. Other times, another answer can be found and you can move forward with the relationship. Either way, it can be a very difficult situation to be in.

However the relationship is resolved, eventually there will always be some type of stress and heartache along the way, but if you and your partner (if possible) work together to get through this time, it can be manageable. If it is not possible to work through the resolution with the help and support of your partner, try to find another support person who can help you work through it.

Still... they were judged and judged harshly.

During this trying time in your relationship, it is crucial that you take care of yourself... mind, body and spirit. Maintaining your own identity can help you feel more secure when you hit the rough spots. Keep your own living arrangements until the relationship is secure and make sure you continue to spend lots of quality time with other friends and family. You may never need to fall back on this but you will have the confidence of knowing that whatever happens, you can manage on your own.

Pamper yourself even more during this stressful time... massages, pedicures, manicures, facials... any of these relaxing luxuries can contribute to maintaining your overall health in a positive manner. Meditate regularly and listen carefully to those inner voices that will lead you in the right direction. Trust them and yourself.
